Don't let the funny name put you off we make some awesome candles! I'm a medieval/renaissance buff so I had to give it that little touch of the olde world.

I co-own YOC with my mom and we started up about 3 years ago. Hoping for a way for her to be able to retire and me to make a little extra. It's been fun doing it though and a great bonding experience.

We use only soy based wax for our candles. It's grown by farmers right here in the good old USA. It's also easier on people with allergies because it produces much less soot than traditional paraffin. It cleans up with soap and warm water so if it drips on something or you want to clean out the jar and reuse it it simple to do. Soy wax is softer than paraffin so all of our candles are jar style with the exception of votives and tarts...those MUST be burned inside a container.

We like good, strong scents so that they carry throughout the house and have been told by some customers that they don't even have to light them, they just take the lid off and the scent fills the room. If you are looking for a certain scent just let us know and we can see about adding it to the line.

We added soap about a year ago. I make all the soaps myself, my mom is the candle lady. I only use natural ingredients in my soap. Shea butter, vitamin oil, lavender and rose petals are just some of things I like to add to give it that little something extra. It just occurred to me that if anyone is vegetarian/vegan and has a problem with an animal product such as emu oil being used just let me know and that is something I can leave out. It's just added because of it's skin healing and softening properties.

Hey send Equine78 some info on your candles. I think you mentioned one the ohter day she would realy like. Anyway, if you can pin her down on a couple I will order for her as a surprise.

Awesome! Yeah she mentioned Stargazer Lily as her favorite flower and we have candles in Stargazer Lily. :) I'll send her some information!
